Players Tour Productions and Statewide Billiards now work together to bring many levels of pool tournaments to different areas in Michigan. The Michigan Players Tour still exists however, it has been restructured to allow for other levels of tournaments and not all events will have money added. Only the AA and pro level events will receive ranking points, all others are tracked with results posted however, there are no ranking points awarded.
By working with Statewide Billiards for events, we are confident that we have found a way to promote the sport of pool across all skill levels. We not only have the MPT events for ranking points and tough competition, we also continue to work on bringing you a billiards expo in Michigan in the next year. In addition, we have plans for 5 man team events for B players or less and 5 man team events for A players and above along with womens team events, 3 man APA events, scotch doubles events and more. Stay tuned, our schedule will be posted shortly. Our tournaments will be run professionally and in a standardized format so there is never a doubt what to expect from our events.
Many events will have money added even in smaller amounts but not all events even for the MPT will have added money this season, it is case by case. All money added must be received from sponsors and escrowed a minimum of 30 days in advance of the event. A promise to pay will not be acceptable no matter what the relationship of the sponsor and us is.
